Tanzania has reaffirmed its commitment to continue strengthening cooperation with the People's Republic of China in trade, education, investment and economic development, as the two countries develop a long-term strategic relationship.

Speaking to journalists in Dar es Salaam, Tanzanian Ambassador to China, Dr. Suleiman Haji Suleiman, said trade between Tanzania and China has reached US$23.2 billion between 2021 and 2025, a move that reflects the strengthening of economic cooperation and trade opportunities between the two countries.

In the area of ​​investment, he said the Tanzanian Embassy in Beijing continues to collaborate with TISEZA to attract more investment in the country, with 863 projects with Chinese investment already registered in Tanzania in various production and service sectors.

In addition, Ambassador Suleiman said the Tanzanian Embassy in China will participate in the Dar es Salaam International Trade Fair (Sabasaba) to provide information on business, investment and education opportunities available in China for Tanzanians.

He said the increase in trade and investment reflects a new stage in cooperation between Tanzania and China aimed at promoting economic growth, innovation and sustainable development on both sides.
