The Tanga Regional Commissioner, Hon. Dr. Batilda Buriani, today, 24 June 2026, officially launched the compensation payment exercise for more than 474 beneficiaries from Mseko and Kigurusimba Villages, Pangani District, Tanga Region, who will complete the implementation of the Sugarcane Farming and Sugar Factory Project with an investment value of US$ 350 million.

After the completion of the land and property assessment exercise, TISEZA has begun the implementation of compensation payment procedures for eligible citizens. A total of 22,000 acres have been allocated for this important investment project.

The 474 beneficiaries are expected to be paid their compensation before 30 June 2026 to complete the implementation of the project that has great benefits for the economy of Tanga Region and the Nation as a whole.

Citizens are reminded to submit important documents including National Identity Card (NIDA) or Voter ID, photograph, letter of identification from the Local or Village Government, bank card and its copy, assessment forms issued during property verification, as well as ownership documents of the relevant area. In addition, estate administrators are required to submit appointment documents certified by the Land Officer.
